Michael Joseph James (“Michael”), the second child of Shawn and Judith Joy, was born at 11:57 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022. He weighed six pounds, 15 ounces and measured 19-and-one-half inches long. His name comes from his father, paternal grandfather and great-grandfather, and his maternal grandfather. His grandparents, aunts, uncles, and five cousins live in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. He lives in Westchester County, New York, with his mom, dad, and sister Clara Joy Elizabeth.

 

In August 2016, Michael’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. After chemotherapy, radiation, full mastectomy of the right breast, and reconstruction surgeries, mom was declared cancer-free and medically cleared for pregnancy.
